Team Photo In Celebration of Laurie H
All NY Flyers, please join together this Sunday, October 28th just following the NYRR Poland Spring Marathon Kick Off (5 Mile race) for a photo shoot with our inspiring teammate, Laurie H. A photographer from the NYRR is
doing a photo shoot of Laurie and would like as many of her friends, family and NY Flyer teammates as possible to be present.
As many of you know, Laurie, NY Flyers member, has been bravely battling Pancreatic Cancer. She ran the NYC Marathon last year and will be competing again this year, in spite of her ongoing treatment. Laurie is featured in the upcoming edition of NYRR Club Magazine - the NYC Marathon edition - in their “Inspired Achievers” section. This superstar was also tapped for an interview with WCBS Radio which will be aired next week.
Laurie is a true hero. A long time club member, competitive runner and triathlete, and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Laurie is an amazing role model for all of us. If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Laurie yet, please let this be your first opportunity. PLEASE come out for a brief team photo and support her brave fight and her support of pancreatic cancer research. You do not have to be registered or running the race to participate.

In addition, NYC Marathon runners and volunteers are encouraged to wear Pancreatic Cancer bracelets and Laurie Tattoos (temporary) at the NYC Marathon on November 4th.
