Great Scott! It's an Ultramarathoner!
We here at the Flyers' Blog aren't big on advertising, and try to keep clear of it whenever possible. No posts for sales or merchandise will be found on this page (unless it's our nifty Flyer duds, of course!). But sometimes local businesses do such a good job in baiting us to send people to their establishments that it's just too tough to resist.
Such is the case with JackRabbit Sports. On March 3rd and 4th (that's next Wed. and Thurs.), they will be hosting one of the world's top ultramarathoners, Scott Jurek, at their Union Square store. How could you not want to check this out? Please be aware that this is in no way an endorsement of JackRabbit or the products they sell.
No purchase necessary. They do, however, suggest making a donation to Norawas de Raramuri. This nonprofit organization was recently formed to support the Copper Canyon Ultramarathon in providing corn and bean prizes as well as meals and lodging for the Tarahumara racers.
